Pikes Peak Honor Orchestra is an auditioned group made up of the top middle school musicians in the region. Students who are accepted into the group will attend 4 evening rehearsals and one day-long rehearsal between December & January before putting on a final performance. The benefits of participating in this ensemble include: getting to work with an outstanding guest clinician, learning fun and challenging music, performing full orchestra repertoire (with wind & percussion players), and performing with the high school honor orchestra. Additionally, students who participate will have their name added to a perpetual plaque in the Sabin Orchestra room.

The recorded audition and commitment form need to be turned in to me no later than Tuesday, November 5th. Students who would like me to record their audition for them should plan to do so sometime between October 28th and November 5th. Audition music and the permission form will be available on September 2nd. I highly encourage students to start working on the music right away and to see me for extra help in preparing their audition if they don't have a private teacher.
